A Delightful Anniversary!

Two Years of Marriage!
a drop in the bucket!
but still a great day of celebration!
As we had our breakfast this morning (a delicious one that Joseph planned and made), hundreds of migrating birds stopped by in our yard. They were creating formations in the air and then landing and covering the entire lawn. It was amazing to see them move as a unit...as we are learning to do!
We enjoyed each other's company and reminiscing upon the goodness of God. A romantic picnic in a row boat and dinner on top of Big Mountain topped off the day beautifully.

Marveling at Faithful Love of Christ.

Lots of LOVE,

Have a fantastic time today!

child-like faith

I read this quote by C.S. Lewis today and it was a great reminder...

Faith in Training
"Now Faith, in the sense in which I am here using the word, is the art of holding on to things your reason has once accepted, in spite of your changing moods. For moods will change, whatever view your reason takes. I know that by experience. Now that I am a Christian I do have moods in which the whole thing looks very improbable: but when I was an atheist I had moods in which Christianity looked terribly probable. This rebellion of your moods against your real self is going to come anyway. That is why Faith is such a necessary virtue: unless you teach your moods 'where they get off', you can never be either a sound Christian or even a sound atheist, but just a creature dithering to and fro, with its beliefs really dependent on the weather and the state of its digestion. Consequently one must train the habit of Faith."

ah..............very good.

on our hearts

on our hearts, in our prayers -

our brothers and sisters in Zimbabwe- where people are being slaughtered because of corruption and power...

our brothers and sisters in NE India - where 50 churches have been burned this week, and many people killed...

May the God of peace bring healing and restoration to the people on both sides of "the gun".

Jesus is the One that cannot be shaken in the middle of wars and rumors of wars.
Love to all,
